Alaska
Desperately working to finish my edits on my last trip to Alaska in the winter of 2015. Hoping to get those posted over on my stories site in the next week. Editing images always makes me long for more adventure...

I have finally gotten my photo essay online of my bikepacking trip on the Coconino 250 loop. A stunning and somewhat challenging loop in Northern Arizona that takes you through forested pines, high alpine trails, dessert sand, and beautiful slick rocks. This is a must do loop and one that I look forward to revisiting in the future.
My bike of choice for this trip was the amazing Salsa Cycles spearfish. Fast and nimble, it was absolutely the perfect rig for this trip. Everything was photographed on my Leica Monochrome and a single 50mm Summilux. Forcing myself to shoot with a single lens and in black and white was definitely one of my most rewarding photo expeditions.
Enjoy
I head out to Fruita/Moab in two weeks for a great ride along the Kopokeli trail, a destination that I have long wanted to visit. It is Jason's birthday bash and a bunch of us are descending on Fruita, Fat Bikes in hand, for a great little 6 day loop.
The Mukluk has been idle for the summer but now she is back and ready to roll. All dressed up with a combination of Porcelain Rocket bags (new ones on the way), I will basically roll with a kit configuration similar to my Arizona trip. The weather looks good, so I am going without a shelter which makes room for the additional water I need.
I swapped out my Carver carbon fork for the original Enabler fork so that I could use my Anything Cages for food. The new, 2014 AC's are significantly more robust so I have no fears about their durability. However, this will be the first trip where I have really put them through their paces, so time will tell. I am once again going to attempt a trip with Flats, something that I have yet to successfully accomplish as well as switching the wheels over to a 'Ghetto' Tubeless conversion. I must say, the thought of Tubeless ready rims is quite appealing...
After this trip, I intend to continue my move to combining Titanium and Carbon fiber, a combination that while expensive, delivers the most outstanding ride quality that I have found. The addition of Carbon Jones Bars, Whiskey Rims and a Rohloff (Still thinking this through)/Dyno hub are going to make the Muk (or its next best iteration), the ultimate go anywhere bike.
More details to come along with the beloved packing lists. Photos will be posted on Instagram, my new favorite way of sharing images in near real time.
Sustainably raised and farmed oysters served up at the lovely Eventide in Portland Maine
The Farm To Table Cycle trip has come to a close and now we dig deep, edit images, and begin the process of telling the fantastic stories that we encountered. For now, you can read updates over on our 'Micro' blog site -- www.farmtotablecycle.com where we will be posting images and telling short versions of these stories. Shortly, I will have the Farm To Table Cycle photo essay online where more images and a few words will be shared with all.
For now, a huge thanks to all of the people that helped make this extraordinary trip possible. I am once again honored and humbled buy the lives of so many people doing such inspirational things.
Racers work across the frozen Sustina river. The warm temps made for challenging conditions.
