Changing the way we eat

I am convinced, more than ever, that we need to fundamentally change what we eat and how that food is grown and raised.  I was so moved by my trip through New England and the people that I met, that I am personally working to change my diet in ways that will not only sustain my body but also sustain the small farmer.  In two weeks I will give a talk at the Westport Art Center in CT, to discuss the role of photography as an instrument of change.   Details to come...

Day 8

We are more than half way done with our trip and simply blown away by the things being done in all of the communities to create a more vibrant and sustainable food system.  From the Food Project of Boston that works to bring youth and adults together in a dynamic urban environment; to the Exeter Food Pantry that provides a place of hope for those with less means.

The stories go on and on, with not enough time in the day for me to write them up.  So, head over to our micro blog site where the Wholesome Wave team is sharing stories and a few of the images I have captured along the way.  Our Instagram feed continues to be a place of daily inspiration as I share snippets along the way.

The Photo Essay will get built out as time permits and will provide everyone with a comprehensive visual look back at this journey.  Today we are off to a school and then more Markets.  Saturday we will be at the very large Portsmouth market, so if you are in the area come on down and find us.
