I was crossing the Irish Sea on the ferry as I traveled to Ireland from Wales for a week long bike trip around the SW coast. The ferry was just pulling into the Dublin harbor when the weather broke, the skies began to clear, and people moved out onto the deck. I grabbed my camera, went up the steps and as I stepped outside into the cool air, I captured this image.
It has become one of my favorite images because you can't quite tell where I am or what the people are doing, but there is something about the scene and the lines that draws the viewer in. Often an image that provides no sense of place can be a bit unnerving, but I think this one really works.
