Icebreaker responds to questions about their manufacturing

Leah Evans, Communications Executive from Icebreaker, was kind enough to take the time to respond to one of the discussion threads/posts on the blog.  Specifically, questions were raised by one of our readers about where Icebreaker sources their wool from and where specifically their manufacturing takes place.  To read her entire response, please click here.

I just want to say that as the world becomes a truly Global marketplace, it is wonderful to see companies such as Icebreaker willing to talk about how their growth has affected them and how through that growth, they are able to make a positive difference in developing countries. We all realize that these are very difficult issues and ones not easily solved.  Changes are made slowly, one step at a time and with regards to China, one can only hope that actions such as those instituted by Icebreaker and other like minded manufactures, that positive change is already taking place.

I continue to stand by my initial post that their gear is a superior product and one that I will continue to use on my expeditions. Now if I could only pick up that new 320  zip that I just tried on the day before Christmas.

Thank You Icebreaker, best of luck to you in 2010
